The ancient festival of Spring, first celebrated by the Romans to honour the goddess of flowers – Flora, and more recently, the day village greens were opened after the winter. April nights have been frosty but summer is nearly here. The sheep are visited most days by the Bengal cat which sits on top of their shelter, Winnie is usually the first to make sure there’s nothing to worry about.
